DIRECTIONS TO PRACTICES

To the Varnum Memorial Armory in East Greenwich, RI
The Armory is at the intersection of Division St. and Main St. It is a big red "castle-like" looking building.

Drivig SOUTH from Providence
* Rt. 95 South
* Exit 9 -- to Route 4 South -- NOTE: this is a left lane exit
* Exit 8 off Rt. 4 -- this is the first exit -- Rt. 401 East Greenwich
* at the top of the ramp turn RIGHT onto Rt. 401 East
* Stay on Rt. 401 East for a little less than a mile
* you will come to a "V" split -- BEAR LEFT AT THE SPLIT
(you will see a small sign that says "Hill and Harbor District East Greenwich)
* you are now on DIVISION ST. -- you will be going up a hill and then down
* go all the way down the hill to the traffic light at the intersection of DIVISION ST. and MAIN ST. ---
* Go STRAIGHT at the traffic light (the Armory will be on your right) - there is a big parking lot just a little past the Armory on the LEFT - park there and come in the side door on DIVISION St. ~~ then follow your ears to where you hear bagpipes and drums :-)

 

Driving NORTH from CT
* Rt. 95 North
* Exit 8A -- Rt. 2 to Rt. 4 East Greenwich -- get in the left lane right away.
* Left at Traffic Light onto Rt. 401 East this is a major intersection 
land marks -- dunkin donuts, Bank RI, Showcase Cinema, EG Square shopping
* Stay straight on Rt. 401 East for about 1.5 miles.
* you will come to a "V" split -- BEAR LEFT AT THE SPLIT
(you will see a small sign that says "Hill and Harbor District East Greenwich)
* you are now on DIVISION ST. -- you will be going up a hill and then down (you'll go past the Masonic Hall on the left where we used to practice - big "for sale" sign out front)
* at the bottom of the hill you will come to a traffic light which is the intersection of Main St. and Division St. You will see the Armory (which looks like a red brick castle) right there on the corner.
Go straight at the traffic light and just a little way down on the left you will see a big parking lot, -- park there and come in the side door at the Armory.
